Occasionally PCT must decide that a cat is not suitable to become a therapy/breeder cat because of a health or temperament issue. When we make the decision to release a cat from our program, we review the adoption applications we’ve received so as to find a home that will be a good match for the cat. All of our released cats are spayed/neutered and their vaccinations are current with a microchip ID, and even though they are “career changed” from being a therapy cat, they still make wonderful pets and companions.
Please note: Purebred Siberian cats are relatively rarely found in shelters due to the fact that responsible breeders overseas and in the US are taking extra care into the placement of their cats/kittens. Responsible breeders will always take back a sold kitten/cat from their cattery.
*The adoption fee for a career changed cat varies, starting at $1000 depending on his/her age and training history. If you are interested in adopting one of our career changed cats, complete the Career Changed Released Online Cat Adoption Application below.
